Potato full fertilization plan

 

At present, the potato planting area in China is about 90 million mu, and it is expected to reach 100 million mu by 2020, with a yield of 130 million tons. The characteristics of potato cultivation in our country are large planting area, high total yield, wide distribution, and diverse planting modes. It is divided into winter crop, autumn crop, early spring crop, spring crop, etc.

Fertilizer demand at different stages

 

The main nutrients during the growth period of potato sprouts come from the mother potato; The seedling stage has lower requirements for water and fertilizer, accounting for less than 5% of the total demand; Starting from the tuber formation stage, potatoes enter the fastest stage of nutrient absorption and maintain it until the middle stage of tuber enlargement. During this period, there was a high demand for nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and trace elements; From the late stage of swelling to the stage of starch accumulation, the rate of nutrient absorption by the root system begins to decrease, and a large part of the accumulated nutrients in the potato tubers come from the reflux of the aboveground parts.

 

Different varieties of potatoes have significant differences in nutrient requirements. On average, for every 1000kg of potato blocks produced, it requires 5.5kg of pure nitrogen, 2.2kg of pure phosphorus, and 11kg of pure potassium.

 

Fertilization plans for each stage:

 

High yield plan for the northern first crop area (Inner Mongolia as an example)

 

Bottom fertilizer: 14-18-22 or 12-15-18 40-50kg/mu, providing nutrients for the entire growth period of potatoes.

 

Inter cultivation: 13-10-20, 18-6-27 20-30kg/mu, providing nutrients for the entire growth period of potatoes.

 

Qi Miao: 9-35-16 (acid-base balanced fertilizer) 3-4kg/mu, continuous use 1-2 times. Promote rooting and regulate soil acidity and alkalinity.

 

From bud stage to full flowering stage: 16-5-28 5-8 kg/mu, used 3 times to provide sufficient and effective nutrients for the rapid growth and expansion of potato tubers, and to prevent premature leaf senescence.

 

Final flowering period: 6-6-38-4-5kg/mu, promoting nutrient reflux in aboveground parts.

 

 

High yield plan for the second cropping area in Central China (taking Shandong as an example)

 

Bottom fertilizer: 15-8-22, 13-10-20 80-100kg/mu+bio organic fertilizer 80-100kg/mu provides nutrients for the entire growth period of potatoes, improves soil structure, and alleviates the harm of repeated cropping.

 

From bud stage to full flowering stage: 16-5-28 15-20kg/mu, used 1-2 times to provide sufficient and effective nutrients for the rapid growth and expansion of potato tubers, and to prevent premature leaf senescence.

 

High flowering period to final flowering period: Spray 300-500 times potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution, 2-3 times continuously. Promote the return of nutrients above ground.

 

 

Southwest mixed cropping area of first and second seasons (Yunnan as an example)

 

Bottom fertilizer: 17-17-17 or 15-15-15 80-100kg/mu+bio organic fertilizer 80-100kg/mu, providing nutrients for the entire growth period of potatoes, improving soil structure, and alleviating the harm of repeated cropping.

 

From bud stage to full flowering stage: 16-5-28 15-20kg/mu, used 1-2 times to provide sufficient and effective nutrients for the rapid growth and expansion of potato tubers, and to prevent premature leaf senescence.
